ASSAM – MEGHALAYA – ARUNACHAL PRADESH (10 NIGHTS / 11 DAYS)
DAY 01: GUWAHATI AIRPORT – SHILLONG (100 KMS / 3 hrs drive)
Arrive at airport. Later drive to Shillong. Enroute visit Umium Lake, Don Bosco Museum. Check in Hotel. If time permits visit Ward’s Lake. Overnight at Shillong.
DAY 02: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE - SHIILONG (60 KMs / 2 hrs-One way)
Today morning after breakfast excursion to Cherrapunjee. Visit Dwan Syiem view point, Noh kalikai falls, Mawsmai caves, Seven Sister falls, Eco park etc. Later drive back to Shillong. On the way visit to Elephant Falls. In the evening, you can go for shopping at Police Bazar. Overnight in Shillong.
DAY 03: SHILLONG – DAWKI - MAWLYNNONG – SHILLONG (85 KMs / 3 hrs-One way)
After breakfast drive from Shillong to Mawllynnong Village. Mawlynnong/Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. The village known for its cleanliness is located around 90 kms from Shillong and is a community based eco-tourism initiative. The community has made collective effort to maintain the ambience of a clean village. The village offers picturesque natural beauty, a trek to the Single Decker living root bridge at a neighbouring village Riwai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Visit Dawki, the Bangladesh Border (Tamabil Border from Bangladesh side). Main attraction is the Umgot river with crystal clear water . You can enjoy along boat ride there, payment will be direct. Evening return back to Shillong. Check in Hotel. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 04: Shillong – Kaziranga (320 Kms / 7 ½ Hrs)
Early morning after breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Check in Hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga.
DAY 05: KAZIRANGA
Morning elephant ride. After breakfast free for leisure or you can visit tea plantations, rubber plantations, Orchid park. After lunch Jeep safari in the Central Range.Overnight at Kaziranga.
DAY 06: KAZIRANGA – Dirang (250 Kms / 6 ½ Hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Dirang. Enroute visit Tippi Orchid Centre, Hot Water Spring. Check in Hotel. Overnight at Dirang.
Day 07: Dirang – Tawang (155 kms / 6 hrs)
Morning drive to Tawang. Enroute witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. (Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place). Overnight in Tawang.
Day 08: Tawang
Tawang - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monestary - one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sect in Asia. The birth place of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 year old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. Visit the monastery and the War Memorial. Evening free for shopping. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 09: Tawang – Bomdila (180 Kms / 6 Hrs)
Early morning after breakfast drive to Bomdila. Check in Hotel. Later visit Bomdila Monastery. Overnight in Bomdila.
DAY 10: BOMDILA - GUWAHATI (390 Kms/ 9 hrs)
Early morning after breakfast drive to Guwahati. Check in Hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight in Guwahati.
DAY 11: GUWAHATI AIRPORT / RLY STATION DEPARTURE
